Ketofen Gel 25 mg/g 2.5% (Ketoprofen) is a topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for symptomatic relief of pain in such conditions as soft tissue injuries,including sport injuries,sprains,strains,musculo-tendonitis,swelling,backache and rheumatic pain.

INDICATIONS

Ketoprofen gel is used in musculoskeletal and joint disorders such as ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis, and in peri-articular disorders such as bursitis and tendinitis.

 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

 

Adult and children above 5 years: Apply 2 to 4 times daily to the skin in the painful or inflamed

region. Apply gently and massage well to ensure gel penetration.

The gel can be used with an occlusive dressing.

The total dose should not exceed 20 g per day regardless of the number of areas affected. Ketoprofen gel should be avoided in children below 5 years.
